Creating a Bold Inner Image Void of Fear
by Philip C Jones
First of all, let's find out where fear comes from. Hebrews 2:14-15 says, "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Jesus) also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." So you see, the root of all fear is the fear of death. It's a bondage and according to Deuteronomy 28:66 fear is a curse of the law, but Jesus Christ redeemed you from the curse of the law according to Galatians 3:13. Therefore you have been made free from fear.
If you are a Christian, Jesus gave you victory over death and the fear of death through His death on the cross. "How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:57)! The only fear a Christian should ever have is a holy reverential fear of God.
When used properly, there are five things that will help create in you an inner image of boldness, void of fear: thoughts, beliefs, words, actions and sowing and reaping. How you master these five things determine how you go through life. Let's see how God would have you address these five things to overcome any unwanted fear and replace it with a positive bold inner image that will be conformed to the image of Christ. Being conformed to the image of Christ should be your goal because your true identity is only found in Christ.
"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predesinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren" (Romans 8:29).
1. THOUGHTS
What you think will determine what you believe. What you believe will determine what you say. What you say will determine how you act which will determine the course of your life.
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7)
To develop a positive inner image conformed to the image of Christ, God wants you to think and dwell on things that create within you an image of success and boldness.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" (Philippians 4:8).
2. BELIEFS
Yes, what you think can become what you believe. Make sure you think on things that will create a belief system that is pleasing to God. Create a new set of positive beliefs about yourself by thinking on and speaking what God has said about you. This will begin to tear down wrong belief systems. Set aside a time each day where you boldy declare what God says about you. The more time you spend doing this, renewing your mind with the Word of God, the faster the results.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:1,2).
Assuming you are a Christian, here are some truths about yourself you can begin meditating on and boldly declaring now. These declarations will help create within you a new and positive inner belief system based on the Word of God:
In Christ I am victorious, an overcomer, triumphant, more than a conqueror, faithful, justified, anointed, blessed, holy, dead to sin, have all power, forgiven, loving, humble, gentle, a saint, light of the world, chosen, beloved of God the Father, seated with Christ in heavenly places, God's workmanship, have peace, have joy, secure, protected, thankful, all my needs and wants are met, have the wisdom and mind of Christ, righteous, have eternal life, salt of the world, set free, safe, healed, delivered, redeemed, complete in Christ and I have a glorious prosperous future that will advance the kingdom of God and bring glory to God. And God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind based on 2 Timothy 1:7. No weapon formed against me will prosper according to Isaiah 54:17.
As you dwell on , think on and speak the above declarations, eventually you will believe them and act them out in your life. Your inner image will become conformed to the image of Christ.
So tear down any wrong belief systems (strongholds in your mind) by thinking on and speaking God's Word.
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:45).
3. WORDS
Words are powerful.
"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light" (Genesis 1:3).
"Death and life are in power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Proverbs 18:21).
What you believe, you will eventually speak.
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10).
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" (2 Corinthians 4:13).
Words paint "pictures" on the inside of you. Words spoken often enough can create an image on the inside of you that will be good or bad depending on the words you speak. If you continuously speak negative words about yourself, you will create within yourself a negative inner image of yourself that is not true. A negative image can become a stronghold in your life that must come down. Strongholds can create fear and an inferiority complex.
Begin tearing down any negative image strongholds in your mind by speaking God's Word (His promises) that will paint an image on the inside of you that is positive, prosperous and victorious, an image becoming conformed to the image of Christ.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
God wants you to keep a watch over your mouth and only say things you want to come to pass. Begin speaking life instead of death. Speak the answer (God's glorious promises) and not the problem. According 2 Peter 1:4, you partake of God's divine nature through His promises. His promises reveal to you who you are in Christ.
"Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips"
(Psalm 141:3).
4. ACTIONS
So, what you think, believe and speak will eventually be acted out by you. If you think negatively, believe negatively and speak negatively, then you will act negatively. Now let's reverse the curse in your life and have you start thinking, believing, speaking and acting in line with God's Word. Think, believe and speak God's glorious promises that declare who you are in Christ:
"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4).
As you do this you will be transforming your inner image to the image of Jesus Christ who is the most successful, loving, intelligent and wise individual in the universe. And yes He has redeemed you from the curse and you are now blessed.
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith" (Galatians 3:13,14).
5. Sowing and Reaping
What you sow is what you will reap.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).
Their is miraculous power in a financial seed sown in faith. When you give your tithes (one tenth of your monthly income) you are planting a seed. That tithe, your financial seed, takes care of God's House (your local church where you attend). God in turn gives you a harvest of your own house expenses being met. When you sow (give) your offering which is above and beyond your tithe, then you name your offering seed. What you name your offering determines your harvest.
Let me explain. You desire a victorious inner image. You would name your offering seed "Victorious Inner Image." Then you would daily thank, praise and worship God until your harvest of a victorious inner image was manifested. Click on "Sowing and Reaping" for a much more clear understanding of how sowing and reaping works and how it can greatly accelerate the manifestation of your new positive inner image. Although the "Sowing and Reaping" site teaches on finances, the sowing and reaping principle will work for any area in your life, including developing a positive inner image.
As I already stated above, the powerful principle of sowing and reaping will work for any area of your life: weight loss, peace, financial wealth, holy life, victory over sin, joy, healed marriage, physical healing, inner confidence or anything you desire in line with God's Word.

My Art
Want Mountain Moving Faith?
The Lord gave the following words to a Christian to speak out loud. The Lord encouraged the Christian to declare these words often until they became a reality in his heart. And of course the more time you spend declaring these powerful words, the quicker the results.
"There is no lack of faith with me. If I were to come to the end of my faith, then the Father gives me the very faith of Christ and it is impossible for me not to believe."

BONUS WORDS OF WISDOM
When a Christian is living a holy life (no pot, no stealing, no unforgiveness, disobedience etc.) then they will be under the safety of God's umbrella of grace. On the other hand, if they are doing things that are not pleasing to God, then they are living out from under the umbrella of God's protective grace. They are in Satan's territory where the curse is. That is why terrible things can happen to a Christian living in sin. Get under the umbrella of God's protective grace. Start thinking, speaking, believing and acting in line with God's Word.

5 Star Book on Overcoming Fear
Overcoming Fear by Dr. Creflo Dollar. "Most of us spend our lives ruled by a variety of negative forces death, doubt, anger, lust, and failure, worry the list could go on and on. But what if these negative forces were all rooted in the same problem? In Overcoming Fear, Dr. Creflo Dollar proves that they are all, in fact, rooted in fear. More importantly, he explains why this is actually a good thing for Christians. By demonstrating that fear is a force that does not come from God, Dr. Dollar illustrates that fear is something that Believers don t have to tolerate in their lives. Chapter by chapter, Dr. Dollar uses Scripture and powerful personal testimony to show readers how they can eliminate any type of fear imaginable from their lives, freeing themselves from the enemy s bondage and solidifying their stance in a life of faith."
